Apply an Education Visa in Bangkok, Thailand

Step 1: Entering Thailand with a Tourist Visa

  • Before applying for an Education Visa, the applicant must enter Thailand using a 60-day Tourist Visa obtained
    from The Thai Embassy or The Thai Consulate abroad.

Step 2: School Registration Upon Arrival

  • Within 5 business days of arriving in Bangkok, the applicant must visit our school to complete the course registration.
    A 70% deposit of the total tuition fee is required to begin an Education visa application process.

Step 3: Submission to The Ministry of Education (MOE)

  • Once the registration and payment are completed, our school will submit An Education Visa application to The Ministry of Education within 3 business days after receiving the payment confirmation from the applicant.

Step 4: Document Approval from The Thai Ministry of Education (MOE)

  • The MOE approval process takes approximately 20–30 business days.
    Please note that there may be a waiting queue for document submission.

Step 5: An Education Visa Conversion at The Changwattana Immigration Office

  • After the application is approved, our school will notify and schedule an appointment for An Education Visa conversion at The Changwattana Immigration Office in Bangkok.
    Our staff will personally assist the applicant on the day of An Education visa conversion.


Important Notes:

  • The applicant must not leave Thailand during the Education Visa application process.
  • An education visa conversion must be completed at least 20 days before Tourist Visa expires, including any extensions.
  • The remaining 30% balance of the tuition fee must be paid before An Education Visa
    conversion appointment at The Changwattana Immigration Office.

Step 6: Post-Application Process and An Education Visa Approval

  • After submitting An Education Visa application at The Changwattana Immigration Office, the applicants are required to stay in Bangkok while the application is processed.
    Immigration Officers will visit our school to photograph the applicant as part of the verification process.
    If you fail to attend this appointment, your Education Visa will be denied.

Approximately 15 days after submission, the applicant is required to return to The Changwattana Immigration Office Bangkok in person to receive An Education Visa (ED Visa) stamp.

Required Documents for Education Visa Application

To apply for an Education Visa (ED Visa) in Thailand, please prepare the following documents and payment:

  • A passport with at least 6 months of remaining validity
  • A completed visa application form
